Course Synopsis:
This course explains the new basis of nutrient requirements, defines what they are in general and for specific nutrients, and how they can be applied in practice.
Our faculty is Dr Susan Barr, Professor of Nutrition at the University of British Columbia and Chair of the Food and Nutrition Board's Subcommittee on Interpretation and Uses of the Dietary Reference Intakes.
The whole DRI Course consists of 8 lessons, each of which can be completed at your own pace. As a whole, the Course is equivalent to about a half-semester university course. The Personal Certificate, available after completion of the self-evaluation of each lesson, should be retained in your files as part of your professional development plan as required by health professional regulatory bodies or employers.
